We'll face different puzzles that will remind us of other classic games such The Lost Vikings, as well as having to fight against monsters and enemies that make the most of the darkness to hide. It's divided into 24 levels which we can explore by moving left and right, jumping, climbing, going up and down stairs or pushing and pulling objects. This is the plot of a title that after being released in 2010 received plenty of positive feedback and opinions, arriving on other platforms such as iOS, PC, PlayStation or Xbox. The game comes along with stunning graphics to take us to a gloomy world that we'll have to explore to rescue our sister. You'll have to avoid all sorts of dangers and obstacles by jumping around and activating different mechanisms with which you can interact to save your life. I really hope to see more games of this high calliber soon.Start off a journey around a dark and dismal world in LIMBO, a game that combines the arcade platformer genre with elements from adventure games. Such a compelling game that I don't have enough words to describe. This puzzle will have you gripping your seat at times and stumped on tough puzzles at others. :) After completing this game, the ending (and overal storyline) is very open to interpretation which makes this game different for many people. The graphics can sometimes lag but that can be easily fixed as restarting the app and getting back into your game takes less than 30 seconds. The ambience is dark and ominous and you never know when a trap might be sprung on our young hero. It's extremely simple in controls and aspect but relatively challenging in applying to the numerous puzzles scattered in the plains of Limbo. This puzzle game is easily the most amazing one of it's kind. I don't write reviews very often about games but I am now. I think the playing time is enough for it to be considered a reasonably priced game. The lack of text for the story allowed me to draw my own thoughts of how each puzzle fit into the game's story description. The puzzle designs suitably reflected the atmosphere of the game. I thought the puzzles would become more dull and repetitive, but I was astonished by how wrong I was. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the gameplay: easy to learn and nothing too confusing to remember. Definitely best to hear with earphones on while sitting in a dark room. I'm surprised the game has an excellent soundtrack that matches its art. I thought it would take a toll on my MacBook Air but the game ran fine, since I only played a few chapters at a time. So I bought it as a hesitant whim as a way to pass time, unsure of whether or not I could understand any of the puzzles without help. I rarely play video games, but was drawn in by its art style and I had heard great things about it from my friends who played it on the Xbox360. The gruesome details are not the draw here….it's the challenge and the fun. Thank goodness there are no vocalizations of pain or groans from the boy….just the occasional splat, or sizzle. After seeing the boy get eviscerated, decapitated, or fall to his 'death' over and over, you can get a grin at how such events can serve you as entertainment. This is not a game for young children, as the graphics can be unsettling. But thanks to the ingenious creators, everything does make sense in the end. It's great to have the walkthru's avaliable to guide you, since sometimes you would swear that some of the puzzles can't be done. There was only one puzzle that completely baffled me, even when I saw the walk thru solution. In some cases, it requires several attempts to get the correct result. What pleases me the most is the 'Aha Factor'…after almost giving up on some of the puzzles, you get that moment where it all makes sense, and try to show your solution. It also tests your hand-eye coordination.altho' the controls are simple, you must have perfect timing to execute some of the maneuvers.
It is the type of game that requires patience to work through all the puzzles. I was looking for a game to intrigue me with its design, challenge, and physics.
